1. Information we process
This policy covers the Transfer Files Locally app, its local transfer webpage and this privacy website. “We” means the app’s developer.
Your chosen files, photos, videos, text and links are processed on your devices. We do not operate cloud storage or a remote relay for transfers, or receive transfer contents on our servers. The app requires no account and contains no advertising, tracking or third-party analytics SDKs. We do not sell your personal information.
File metadata, device names, connection details, preferences and storage information are processed locally to transfer and manage content. Your device name may be visible to nearby devices before pairing.
2. Permissions
- Photos: to browse and send items you select, or save received photos and videos. Limited access is respected.
- Local Network: to discover and communicate with nearby devices.
- Files: to access files and folders you authorize through the system picker.
Clipboard access happens through your copy or paste actions, without continuous monitoring. The local transfer webpage stores language preferences and a temporary access token in your browser for the connection, not for tracking.
3. Sharing and security
Recipients receive the content you share, including any embedded metadata such as photo location tags. Verified app-to-app transfers use encryption.
Apple services such as iCloud, AirDrop and system diagnostics, and other file providers or browsers, follow their own policies and your settings. They may use the internet; AirDrop may continue transfers online. See Apple’s Privacy Policy.
4. Storage and deletion
Shared and received temporary files stay in the app until deleted or expired according to your expiry setting. Expired files become unavailable for new downloads and are removed when the app can run cleanup; cleanup may be delayed while the app is closed.
Copies kept in the app’s saved library remain until you delete them. Copies exported to Files, Photos or another device are independent: expiry or deletion in the app does not remove them. External copies may sync or be backed up through services you use.
You can delete local files in the app. Uninstalling removes app-container data, not copies stored elsewhere. We cannot recover or remotely delete your transfer files.
5. Your choices and contact
You can revoke app permissions in iOS Settings, stop sharing, delete local files and clear the local transfer site’s browser data.
If you contact us, we and our email provider process your address, message and attachments to respond. We retain support information only as needed to handle your request or meet legal obligations.

We will update this policy and its date when our privacy practices change, with additional notice or consent where required.
